Do your plugins collect my data? How do I opt out?
Plugin Performance Data
Our plugins sometimes collect information about plugin use by the website or admin if the plugin user has opted in.
You can skip and opt out of any information being sent, and if you do opt in to share your site info, it is mostly for development and bug tracking purposes, finding plugin conflicts, etc. We do not use any information for any other purpose.
Opt in typically occurs when a plugin is installed/activated when users see the prompt. Subscription is managed in your WordPress dashboard "plugins" section, "all plugins" and find opt-in/out options under each plugin.
Email Subscription
We, 5 Star Plugins, collect voluntary information from our customers who opt-in to email or upgrade to the Premium version within their WordPress dashboard.
Users who did not opt in to receive marketing emails may still receive system emails for the management of the plugin. These might include information about support, new plugin updates, Premium license, payment or upgrade status.
For administration of our WordPress plugins we use the Freemius software development kit (SDK) for opt-ins, system emails, and payment processing on upgrades.

Your Website Visitor or Customer Data
We do not collect or store visitor or customer data from your website.
Plugin Cookie Data
Some of our plugins use a cookie stored on your website in order to perform correctly. For example, the cookie identifies if a visitor has verified so that the pop-up does not show up repeatedly on every page during a session.
